Southwest Visions: A Two-Artist Exhibition Opens April 10 at Remnant Framing

Remnant Framing is proud to present Southwest Visions, a two-artist exhibition featuring the work of Jennifer Taylor and Elizabeth Lewis Scott, opening April 10 from 5–7 PM at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment in Huntsville, Alabama.

This exhibition brings together two distinct perspectives on the American West—united by subject matter, but shaped by different approaches to process, movement, and form.

Jennifer Taylor, an award-winning impressionist, creates work rooted in lived experience. As a horse trainer since her teens, her deep connection to her subject translates into paintings that feel immediate and alive. Her brushwork is expressive and intuitive, capturing the energy of horses, landscapes, and the people connected to them.

Elizabeth Lewis Scott, a North Alabama native, has drawn and painted since childhood. Her work is grounded in a strong foundation of drawing, with a focus on wildlife, equine subjects, and western themes. Working primarily in oil, with additional work in watercolor, graphite, and conté, Scott’s approach reflects patience, observation, and a respect for tradition.

Together, their work creates a compelling dialogue—balancing movement and stillness, instinct and discipline—offering viewers a layered and authentic interpretation of the American West.

The exhibition will be on view at Remnant Framing, a creative frame shop and gallery located within Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment. Remnant Framing continues to serve as both a working studio and a platform for artists, connecting custom framing with a rotating program of exhibitions.
