From Trader Joe’s to Custom Frames: The Story Behind Remnant Framing
Before it was a framing shop and gallery, Remnant Framing was a collection of tools in a garage and a dream that wouldn’t go away.
After nearly two decades with Trader Joe’s—learning the art of presentation and customer connection—I made the leap. I moved to Huntsville, Alabama, set up at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, and built Remnant Framing from the ground up. What started with salvaged materials and secondhand gear has grown into a creative space where artists, collectors, and families come to frame their stories.
Remnant isn’t just about custom frames. It’s about recognizing the value in overlooked pieces—scraps, remnants—and giving them purpose. Whether it’s framing your family heirloom, launching a gallery show, or helping artists thrive, this place is built to add value to the creative ecosystem of Huntsville and beyond.
