The Week’s Reflection
This week has been a blend of excitement and urgency as Remnant Framing gears up for Halloween while tackling a list of projects and future event planning. Between the productive days and collaborative moments, I’m feeling energized about the path forward. Each project completed and new idea generated reminds me why I chose to bring this frame shop to life at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment. This place, with all its creative energy, continues to be a source of inspiration as we move forward, one frame at a time.
On The Wall
This week’s On The Wall Spotlight is Cheryl Busick’s Halloween exhibit, Ghostly Visions: A Halloween Collection. Running through Halloween, Cheryl’s collection brings an eerie elegance to Remnant Framing, with each piece framed to enhance its haunting details and shadowy tones. We’ve carefully selected materials and finishes that complement her work, adding a touch of mystique to every frame. It’s been a rewarding project, and I’m excited for visitors to experience this seasonal collection in person.
Community Highlights
One of the most enjoyable parts of the week was watching the Andrew Duhon Trio perform at Tangled Strings Studio, owned and operated by Danny Davis. Danny not only manages the studio but also crafts beautiful, hand-made guitars that resonate with his commitment to quality and artistry. Having Tangled Strings just a few doors down from Remnant Framing is an incredible bonus, offering a front-row seat to both music and craftsmanship. This creative energy fuels our own work at Remnant Framing, encouraging us to bring that same dedication and precision into every piece we frame.
Looking Ahead
We’re thrilled to announce our next gallery feature: Lowe Mill’s own Chris Wade with his exhibit, Falling Through Space. This exhibit, capturing a distinctively ethereal perspective, will be on display at Remnant Framing through the fall season until the first week of November. It’s an honor to bring Chris’s work into the space and celebrate his artistic vision. Be sure to stop by and experience Falling Through Space— Opening date will be announced soon. it’s a showcase not to be missed!
Call to Action
Creativity can be as simple as bringing new life to something you love. What’s a project, piece of art, or memory you’d like to showcase or preserve? Take time this week to dive into a creative endeavor—whether framing an old photo, sketching something new, or rearranging your space to highlight what inspires you. If you need some guidance or ideas, come by the studio at Lowe Mill, where we’re always excited to chat about creative possibilities.
Closing Thoughts
Reflecting on the week, it’s clear that creativity and community go hand-in-hand here at Lowe Mill. This journey feels like it’s moving in the right direction, thanks to the incredible people I’m surrounded by and the unique opportunities to bring art to life. Here’s to another week of framing, creating, and connecting with others who value art. See you in the studio!
