This week has been full of exciting moments at Remnant Framing, despite the gloomy weather and a busy weekend in Huntsville. We kicked off The Curated Gallery Presents: Ebed at Remnant Framing, and I couldn’t be more grateful to those who came out to support the exhibit. Even with the rain, South Star Music Festival, and the Alabama football game happening, we managed to have a wonderful night. Ebed is a beautiful exhibit that will run until October 15th, so make sure to come by and check it out!
In addition to the gallery buzz, I have some exciting news: Blank’s pre-framed canvases are officially on their way! This collaboration is going to bring something fresh and exciting for both artists and collectors alike. More details on that below.

What Am I Working On?
One of the pieces I’m most excited about involves working with both old and new. It’s a small ambrotype of a flower sitting on a table—a delicate and personal piece made by the client as a heartfelt gift. Working with something like this is always special because of the deep personal connection tied to it. We’re using a simple rustic wood frame to complement the tone of the piece.

(An ambrotype is a 19th-century photograph made by creating a positive image on glass using the wet plate collodion process. The image appears when viewed against a dark background, giving it a delicate, almost ethereal quality, and each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation.)

Who Have I Met?
This week, I had the chance to chat with Ase Selah, a Lowe Mill resident and one of the creative minds behind The Curated Gallery. Ase and I talked about Huntsville’s emerging art scene, and it was inspiring to hear his passion for supporting local artists. We also discussed the growing need for more gallery spaces in the city—a sentiment I completely agree with, as the creative community continues to thrive. It’s exciting to see so many talented people making their mark, and I’m proud to be part of this movement through my work at Remnant Framing. If you haven’t yet, make sure to check out The Curated Gallery’s current exhibit at Remnant!

What’s Coming Next?
There’s a lot to look forward to at Remnant Framing in the coming weeks. First off, I’m thrilled to announce that Blank’s pre-framed canvases are on their way! These canvases are perfect for artists who want a high-quality, ready-to-go solution for their work. The first limited run will be available soon, and if you miss out, don’t worry—I’ll be sharing a link so you can order directly. Every purchase helps me continue building a strong relationship with Blank, which means even more opportunities to bring new and innovative products to Huntsville.
Also, don’t forget that the Ebed exhibit will be on display at Remnant Framing until October 15th. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just someone who appreciates beautiful artwork, this exhibit is worth a visit. It’s a powerful showcase of creativity.
