Remnant Framing Weekly Journal: A Story of Art, Light, and Connection
Explore Art and Creativity This December at Lowe Mill
December at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is a season of inspiration. It’s a time for stories to unfold, creativity to spark, and connections to deepen. At Remnant Framing, we’ve spent the week blending hard work, meaningful encounters, and the joy of sharing art with Huntsville’s vibrant community.
Art on the Walls: An Eclectic Collection
The gallery is currently stocked with an eclectic mix of works from some of Lowe Mill’s most talented artists: Matt Bender, Cindy Miller, Yuri Ozaki, Elaine Booth, and from outside The Mill, the newest addition to the Huntsville art scene, Elizabet Castro.
Each piece reflects the rich diversity of artistic expression at Lowe Mill.
Chris Wade’s "Falling Through Space" remains a centerpiece of the gallery. This captivating artwork draws visitors into its cosmic depths, sparking reflections and conversations. It’s a must-see during your visit to Remnant Framing.
Meet Elizabet Castro: A Global Voice in Huntsville’s Art Scene
This week, we welcomed Elizabet Castro, an internationally trained artist whose work speaks of a life rich with global experiences. From her studies in Korea under a master painter to her large-scale acrylics created in Germany, Elizabet’s artistry bridges cultures and styles. Now in Huntsville, she’s making her mark with pieces that are bold, refined, and deeply expressive.
We’re thrilled to feature her available works during the Yule Y’all Market, starting Saturday, December 7, here at Lowe Mill. Elizabet’s journey and her vision align perfectly with Remnant Framing’s mission to make art approachable and meaningful.
Behind the Scenes at Remnant Framing
This week has been about preparation and creativity. From fixing tools to organizing the gallery, every small step has been aimed at building a foundation for what’s to come.
One exciting project in the works is a Christmas tree installation on the gallery wall made entirely of tree lights. It’s more than just festive décor—it’s an interactive display designed to brighten the space and create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
Every frame we complete, every visitor we connect with, and every artist we collaborate with builds toward something bigger. This week has been a reminder of the importance of these seemingly small moments.
Looking Ahead: Celebrate Yule Y’all at Remnant Framing
Small Business Saturday brought both new faces and familiar ones to Lowe Mill. It’s these connections—whether with first-time visitors or returning customers—that fuel the heart of Remnant Framing.
This holiday season, Remnant Framing is more than a frame shop or gallery—it’s a space for stories, art, and connection. Whether you’re searching for a unique gift, a custom frame, or simply a place to enjoy Huntsville’s creative energy, we welcome you.
And don’t forget to keep an eye on Remnant’s Online Gallery as we add new pieces all the time.
