The Porch Print: A New Call for Printmakers & Graphic Designers

The Porch Print: A New Call for Printmakers & Graphic Designers

There’s something special happening in Five Points. With a blend of front-porch music culture and neighborhood storytelling, Remnant Framing is teaming up with PorchFest Five Points to take that spirit one step further. We’re launching The Porch Print — an official poster competition and exhibition that calls on printmakers and graphic designers to capture the soul of this event in ink, paper, pressure, and imagination.

Why a Poster Competition?

Concert posters are souvenirs, artifacts, and time capsules. They document not just who played or where, but what the moment felt like. And in Huntsville, where creativity continues to grow in unexpected places, we believe the official PorchFest Five Points poster should be born from the hands of regional artists.

What We’re Looking For

Artists are invited to submit an original, concert-style poster design that celebrates the music, magic, and community of PorchFest Five Points.

Designs selected for the competition will be hand-printed as a:

  • Screen print

  • Relief print

  • Or similar hand-printed form (1–4 colors)

Digital images are required to apply, but if selected, final artwork must be printed physically and delivered to Remnant Framing for exhibition.

Exhibition + Public Voting

Selected artists will have their prints displayed at Remnant Framing, inside Lowe Mill A&E in Railroad Room 3B, where visitors will cast votes throughout February 2026.

At the close of the exhibition, the winning poster will become the official PorchFest Five Points 2026 Festival Print, produced with support from PorchFest, Remnant Framing, and partnering printmakers.
